We develop courses designed at Carnegie Mellon University by Damola Idowu and his team at Toyz Electronics along with consultation from Drew Davidson, Executive Director at the Entertainment Technology Center, Brett Ashley Crawford, Ph.D.-Faculty Chair Masters of Arts and Entertainment Management, and Executive Director, Arts Management and Technology Laboratory Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, and Dr. Nikolas Martelaro- assistant professor at the Human Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
We provide 10-week course and a set of tools that students can use to create their own characters and sell those digital and physical characters on a digital e-commerce platform. The courses use the Toyz Electronics TOYZSTEAM method of Inspire, LEARN, CREATE, SELL to deliver a Culturally Relevant and Responsive Maker+ STEM+ Art+ Entrepreneurship curriculum to diverse and disadvantaged students
